NOTE: DUE TO COVID YOU CAN EXPECT SHIPPING DELAYS UP TO 5-7 DAYS. PLEASE BE PATIENT, WE WRAP THE PLANTS WITH CARE AND THEY WILL BE OK IF YOU ARE :)

There is a special something about this ancient grass, unlike any other plant and we would like you to have a great experience and enhance your home/farm or courtyard with the right choice of Bamboo and grow it well. We pack, and dispatch to your door - using the best delivery option offering the best products at good prices.

  • Q: Where do you delivery to?
States we ship to are: QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, SA. Unfortunately we don't ship to WA or Tasmania due to cross border plant restrictions.
  • Q: What size pots do you ship?
We do 200mm up to 45L bags. 200mm pots are packed in special plant boxes.
NOTE - any orders with 300mm pots or 45L bags will require to be shipped via a plant carrier and will need a quote for your area. Typical costs for a pallet of plants (30-80 bamboo), you can plan on $180-250 to CBD areas of Sydney and $200-300 to Melbourne.
  • Q. I'm getting a high price, or the system is saying we don't deliver to your address..?
Yep, sometimes we get a glitch in the system, so please feel free to drop us an email to sales@byronbaybamboo.com.au and we'll see if we can help and do up a quote for you!
  • Q. How are the plants packed?
We use recycled materials and biodegradable bags in our packing, taking care to ensure your plants are carefully packaged and given a nice water just before they are shipped to you. We also send you a tracking number and website tracking link to follow their journey until your plants are safely delivered right to your door!
Plus we'll include a free planting guide recommending the best ways to plant, care and maintain your bamboo.

Plants that are sent via courier arrive packed carefully, so you'll need to open the box with care. Our boxes are special plant boxes, around 1m high, and with soil can weigh up to 25kg. So keep in mind all of that height and weight can add up for shipping. We charge shipping at cost and don't mark up.
  • Q: How long can my plants last in that type of box?
We aim to create it's own little moist humid environment when shipped so they don't dry out. Plants can last up to 14 days in this type of environment.
  • Q: How much can I expect to pay?
Freight costs are automatically calculated by our freighting partners (TNT, Aramex, Australia Post), but as general guide to how much you'll pay to get your plants delivered can be based on the total amount you spend and you location. As an approximate guide you can plan on spending:

  • Will my plants look exactly like your website photos?
Our photos are an indication on typical plant size. Depending on the time of year they may be more bushy, or less... taller or slightly shorter... one new shoot, or two... Because we are always flat out supplying plants and growing new ones they change so quickly. For exact sizing at the time of order please contact us for a photo. For plants shipped in boxes, some may need to be trimmed to fit in the 1m box if they have a rigid culm, but we'll be sure to check with you first.
  • Q. Are there other options for shipping?
We also do a monthly delivery run down to Sydney - so for orders in the region we'll bring them down in our van to ensure we can get you the maximum height plants possible. (BY CONTACTLESS DELIVERY AT PRESENT WITH COVID)
We also use plant carriers to freight larger orders - this will need to be quoted by us.

Yes, please feel free to email us for any bulk orders, shipping quotes and planning advice for your gardens.

Yes, we offer free planting advice. Best to send us a couple of photos by email to sales@byronbaybamboo.com.au with a description of: height of bamboo you want, preference of shape, location or climate, soil type if known.
