Weavers Bamboo
Bambusa Textilis Textilis - Highly recommended

One of the most beautiful well behaved bamboos growing here. New shoot colouration is brilliant. Weavers bamboo has a tight clump structure similar to Gracilis, but dark green culms and leafs.  New poles are dusted with white powder, tinged blue. 

Great splitting bamboo - long internode, 25-40 mm diameter and foliage higher up - when mature two thirds of this bamboo is clean poles.   Utilised for basket making in Asia.   Grows to 12 metres with a circumfirance of 3-4 metres if it likes the spot ! So it requires a large space or occasional maintenance/use.  Nice entrance feature plant for a big garden area.
