Dendrocalamus Minor var. Amoenus

Stunning green/blue bamboo with silver/ ghostly culms. This is a tough variety that will handle different soils and conditions. Base is not large or spreading so can be planted in a smaller space than some of the other medium varieties. Will resemble a large shade tree when fully grown with a wide sweeping 2m plus canopy of long dark green leaves. When mature displays bare lower culms, that look like they are powdered white.

Everyone one that sees this bamboo growing at Tallawong wants it !  Think about Ghost  if you want a hardy bamboo with a tropical leaf but buy less rather than more as they do grow to branch out and give good coverage higher up. This needs a reasonable space so not suitable for small gardens.
