A tiny running bamboo with green leaves and a cream variegation.

  • Can be used as a small garden ornamental, or in a planter box as a filler plant.
  • Does well in sun.
  • Can be trimmed with scissors when required.

Bambusa Guangxiensis

Lovely dwarf species has lush green leafs and green culms, which are disguised by thick foliage when established. 

  • Makes a great border or hedge or single display plant.
  • Also works well in a pot.
  • Likes sunny position - can be trimmed to shape.
  • Popular small variety grows over 2 metres.

Curly delicate multi leafed species makes nice small garden bamboo, which also goes well in a pot.  Near solid fine culms.  Has a fountain formation making a lovely garden border, or fine hedge.   Height 2 metres growing thick with a splay of culms and tiny leaf. Can be trimmed to style.  Image coming soon !

Malay Pygmy - Pogonatherum Paniceum

Exceptionally fine grass like strands form tight round clump - in Winter foliage turns from bright green to be tinted brown/burgundy - plummage similar to the Tiger Grass.  A very good under-story garden filler or ground cover, expanding 1 metre.  Pygmy grass also performs well grown in a pot - works in both a shady or sunny spot. Give it a little haircut if it gets dried ends and it will stay looking good.
